Why I Wrote
RAJMATA KUNTI

Years ago, a young boy in Mumbai tragically ended his life after being humiliated and bullied while travelling on a local train. That heart-breaking incident left me with a question.

The Pandavas in the Mahabharata endured one calamity after another. They lost their kingdom, lived in exile, faced humiliation, betrayal, and constant danger. Yet, they never gave up. Every time they fell, they found strength to rise again.

Where did that strength come from? The answer, I found, was their mother—Rajmata Kunti.

Kunti was their first Guru and the most honoured one. She did not merely preach values; she lived them. She taught them the Kshatra Dharma- to protect the righteous, to stand firm in adversity, and to live like a tree that offers shade, nourishment, and healing to all.

Her lessons – shloka by shloka – are comparable to the lessons of Karma Yoga, given by Krishna in Bhagvad Geeta.

Yudhishthira declares, “Our mother’s word is Dharma for us!” While Arjun puts Kunti on par with the wise Vidura and Yogeshwar Krishna.

Hence this book … to bring her timeless guidance to today’s readers. It is a handbook on how to live with courage, dignity, resilience, and purpose. My sincere appeal to every young reader is this: read Rajmata Kunti’s teachings. Her words will help you through out your life.
